Every garden needs one of these electric scarifiers by Black and Decker. They take all the hard work out of raking. The first thing I noticed is that it is lightweight so can be used easily and without much effort. The ergonic designed handles make holding the raker very comfortable.
There are three height settings on it for different heights of grass which I liked. During autumn when the leaves fall you can adjust the height setting to cut through and pick up heavier garden debris.
The blades cut through the grass quite well and without putting in much effort. All I have to do is push it around the garden.
The large grass box is so handy as it means you don’t have to rake all the debris into a corner and pick it up by hand causing backache. As the grass box is made of plastic it is easy to carry when full as it is plastic is lightweight.
The Black + Decker raker is ideal for gardeners as you don’t have to be strong to handle or manoevre it so it is very practical for elderly gardeners as well as younger ones.
It has a 600w electric motor and a 30cm raking width so is ideal for medium sized gardens as you can get the job done quite quickly.

- the 600k motor may not be powerful enough for bigger gardens to get the job done faster
